Welcome |
For over 150 years, we have been proclaiming the Good News on the same corner on the east edge of Lowell. But while we are deeply anchored in this community, and thoroughly rooted in a scriptural faith, we are fully Alive in Christ, translating and applying the eternal truths of Christianity into today's world. We strive to help people both know about God and to know God personally. We believe that true faith always manifests in Christian service and witness. The grace offered us in Christ Jesus, compels us to offer grace to others, not out of duty and obligation, but out of love and gratitude to God. We offer a variety of ways for everyone to discover and deepen their faith life. Worship is an entry point. We have two services, at 8:30 and 10:15 every Sunday throughout the year. Our worship is vibrant and diverse. Come join us. Sunday School and other educational opportunities are available for every age. Sunday School meets from 10:30 until 11:30 each Sunday during the school year. Children leave from worship following Children's Time with the pastor. Adult opportunities include a Sunday morning class and varying studies and growth growths throughout the week. Kids' Club provides fun, hands-on opportunities every Wednesday through the school year. It is for children in grades 1st to 6th, meeting from after school until 5:30 p.m. Dinner is served each Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m. and provides a mid-week rest for moms, dads and all care providers. Proceeds go to various ministries providing the meal. Our Pre-School provides learning and socialization for children ages 3 & 4. Our commitment to children and their welfare is a hallmark of our congregation. Here Christian values, morality, and faith provide a foundation for developmental preparation for kindergarten. Youth find many opportunities to learn about Christ and grow in personal faith walks through our dynamic youth ministry. Active and well attended youth groups mix fun and faith, Bible study and Christian service. Both the Jr. and Sr. High groups take regular mission trips, annual Christian camping excursions, and other retreats and outings. All area youth are invited to join us. Many youth meetings are held in our Raya Ministry Center building (former Flat River Outreach Ministries building) on the corner of Jefferson and Main. |
